Switch 2 vs PS5 for beginners

For most beginners, the Nintendo Switch 2 is the easier choice. It costs less, plays on the TV or in your hands, and has many family and gentle games. Choose the PS5 if you mainly want large, realistic, film-like games on your TV.

Is one easier for beginners to play?

Both have gentle games and demanding ones. The Switch 2 has a larger share of gentle family games. Check each game’s rating for controls, camera and reflexes scores.

What about Xbox?

Xbox is another choice, with a monthly game library called Game Pass. See the Xbox guide.
